Bruker Nano, one of Bruker’s four operating segments, provides customers in academic and governmental institutions, life science, materials, and applied industries with the tools to determine the characteristics of matter and visualize the structure of molecules. Divisions within BNANO include Bruker AXS, Bruker Nano Analytics, Bruker Nano Surfaces and Metrology, Fluorescence Microscopy, and Canopy.

 

We have an opportunity to join our AXS team as a Sales Operations Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of and processing for bids, orders, change orders and invoices. This role coordinates with appropriate Bruker entities, branches and agents, as well as internal departments. 

Responsibilities

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of and processing for bids, orders, change orders and invoices.
  • Coordinates with appropriate Bruker entities, branches and agents, as well as internal departments and external customers. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (70%)

  • Helps to facilitate and prepare bid responses from the point of bid request.
  • Handles all stages of incoming orders, including verification of mandatory controls, entry, review, invoicing, acknowledgment and status updates.
  • Examines contract terms and conditions.
  • Maintains accurate files for orders including correspondence, changes orders, shipping, authorizations, payment schedules and deadlines.
  • Updates multiple databases as needed for tracking sales orders.
  • Liaison for interactions between departments in the US and abroad.
  • Aids in revenue forecasting and other financial reporting.
  • Gathers files and other information for auditors.

OTHER RESPONSIBILTIES (30%)

  • Participates in testing and training of new and updated systems required for job.
  • Stays current with export regulations and completes paperwork for items coming into country.
  • Registers with and keeps vendor/customer profiles and internet databases up to date.
  • Assists with other departmental tasks as needed.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree in Business or equivalent experience including prior sales support customer service is preferred, but not required.
  • Knowledge of ISO9000 documentation and procedures is preferred, but not required.

COMPETENCIES:

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills for interacting and communicating, both internally and externally, in a professional manner.
  • Ability to set priorities and when appropriate, direct tasks to all levels of individuals, both internally and externally, in a professional manner.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of computer and software, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Salesforce and SAP experience preferred.
  • Capable of maintaining records, preparing reports and correspondence.
  • Detail-oriented to assure orders are accurate and correct.
  • Capacity to handle multiple tasks effectively in a fast paced and ever changing environment.
  • A team player, yet able to work independently with minimal supervision.

At Bruker, base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $38,000.00/yr. and $59,000.00/yr. and provides an opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.The base salary for the role will depend on a several job-related factors, including, but not limited to education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge and travel requirements for this position. Full-time employees may also be eligible for a performance-related incentive in addition to a full range of benefits including 401(k) with company match, an employee stock purchase plan, medical and dental plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, employee assistance program and paid time off including vacation, sick time and holidays, and more.
